It was a total embarrassment for Washington’s commanders in Week 11, en route to their seventh defeat of the campaign. And a New York Giants player took this opportunity to stick the knife in the franchise for passing up on him in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Deonte Banks – a prospect from neighboring University of Maryland – was overlooked in favor of a former star player from Mississippi State Emmanuel Forbes in 16th place in the general ranking. Something that put a huge chip on the cornerback’s shoulder based on his live comments on Instagram via CBS Sports.
“They could have (come) and gotten me at 16. And they didn’t. Now I’m 2-0 against you motherfuckers. F— the commanders. They think they’re skillful. They’ll end up seeing me twice a year for the rest of my career. Twice a year. Should have picked me up. I’m just trying to figure it out, though, did 17 play today ‘today? That’s all I want to know. Did he play today? Did he play? I just want to know if he played.

Forbes is going through some complications as a rookie, which is not uncommon. But make no mistake, Banks will be highly motivated every time he faces the Commanders throughout his career – the fact that he threw shade at Pro Bowl wideout Terry McLaurin makes the situation even worse.
