A 25-year-old message on the theme of climate change was discovered by a French fisherman on a beach in the United States. The message was found in a bottle from Sandwich, Massachusetts, in 1997. The letter inside was written by Benjamin Lyons, who was in fifth grade at the time.
While scouring the beach for trash and picking up various items, the fisherman came across the bottle and was intrigued by a note on the outside reading, “Please open.” In doing so, he discovered a letter containing a segment of a science project dealing with ocean currents, erosion and climate change. Further investigation revealed that Lyons, now residing in Washington, was the student behind the project. However, the exact journey of the bottle to its current location remains unknown.
