New Delhi: India on Monday recorded 18 new COVID-19 infections while the number of active cases rose to 186, according to Data from Union Health Ministry. With the new cases, the number of COVID-19 cases in the country jumped to 4.50 crore (4,50,01,593). The death toll remained unchanged at 5,33,295, according to the data updated at 8 am.
The number of people cured of the disease rose to 4,44,68,112 and the national recovery rate stood at 98.81 percent, according to the health ministry’s website.
The case fatality rate stands at 1.19 percent.
According to the ministry’s website, 220.67 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far in the country.
